CANDIDA SANLORENZO

“dallemiemani”, Italian for “ from my hands” is exemplified in Candida’s particular style of wooden furniture, sculpture and jewelry made from re-claimed wood. Her background, from The School of the Wooster Art Museum, to a scholarship at the Art Students League in New York on to working at Saks Fifth Avenue and Bergdorf Goodman in New York City shaped her design aesthetic.

 

Her work, out of driftwood, discarded wood,vintage furniture parts and river willow, has a feminine aspect to it. The imperfect is honored, the beauty in the accidental, the elegance in the organic, are all evident in her work.
