ODIS SCHMIDT

I have worked with my hands from a very young age in Michigan. From early on I loved and was intrigued by nature and all living things. I had no art training until I went to college. I graduated from Eastern Mich. University with a BFA in printmaking and sculpture. I then attended Graduate school for 1.5 years and moved to CA. In 1973. I became a woodworker but always spent time creating my thought dreams. Now, that is what I do full time. I have been in gallery and group shows and a few museum shows. I still love making things and work at it daily and often do not know the outcome of my initial thoughts. ​
